Speaker: Lise Alschuler, ND, FABNO This session reviews some of the latest findings on medicinal mushrooms and the mechanisms by which mushrooms interact with our immunity and influence our inflammatory response. While the immune-modulating effects of mushrooms are of critical importance, mushrooms are more than beta-glucans! Each mushroom has an array of compounds that lead to distinctive indications. The clinical significance of these differentiating features is explored leading to discrete applications. Additionally, by pairing mushrooms with botanicals, we can create powerful, synergistic formulas to enhance health.
