Speaker Katie Stage. There are many strains of the human papilloma virus (HPV). Low-risk strains cause warts of all types; high-risk strains of HPV cause most abnormal paps and cervical cancer. Many people don’t realize that high-risk HPV can also cause oropharyngeal, esophageal, vulvar, penile, and anal cancers. This presentation highlights the latest research on HPV, as well as conventional and herbal treatments for the virus. Herbal treatments for abnormal paps are also discussed.
