Speaker: David Winston. New research suggests that amyloid plaques and tau protein are not the cause of most Alzheimer’s, rather they are the brain’s response to chronic inflammation and immune activation (caused by GI inflammation, hypertension, diabetes, sleep deprivation and nutrient deficiency). If this is correct (and multiple studies suggest it is) it is possible that lifestyle interventions, mental and physical exercise, herbs, diet and supplements may offer real benefits for reducing neuroinflammation and hyper-immune response, as well as promoting cerebral circulation, memory, focus and concentration.
