Speaker: Eric Yarnell. Incidence of gout is increasing in the US population. In this lecture, pharmaceutical approaches to the condition will be contrasted with dietary and herbal approaches, using case studies to illustrate the efficacy of the natural approach and when drugs might be necessary. This will include some discussion of uric acid kidney stones and tophi, the other two manifestations of gout.
